Club night is on a Thursday night from 8:30pm until 10:30pm at Ipswich School. The first club night is on 3rd September. This will also be the first night of our new social club for beginners and improvers. The plan is to use two courts for the regular club and two courts for the social club although this will be flexible based on numbers and match requirements.
Home league matches are played on a Tuesday night from 8:00pm until 10:30pm at Ipswich School, with two home matches being played per night. There will be some Tuesday nights where there is no match or only one match and on these occasions the spare court space will be available for match practice and general club play. We will advise members when space is available on Tuesday nights.
We try to keep our membership cost as low as possible so that cost is not a bar to people particapting in the club. One of the ways we do this is to make a part of our annual membership a voluntary donation. By doing this we can claim back Gift Aid from this amount for all normal rate taxpayers. This arrangement allows us to keep costs to a minimum for all members.
The membership cost for the 2009-2010 season is a maximum of £52.00 and is broken down as follows: -
Prospective new members may attend on a "pay as you go basis" for up to three sessions before commiting themselves to membership. Each "pay as you go" session is charged for at £4.00 and all such payments are deducted from the annual membership cost when a person goes on to become a member.
